He has contributed comics and drawings to The New Yorker, Metropolis magazine, and weekly newspapers in the U.S. A Guggenheim Fellowship and MacArthur Fellowship recipient, Katchor was described by author Michael Chabon as "the creator of the last great American comic strip."
