Christopher Abbott
Christopher Abbott (born 1985/1986) is an American actor who, since the start of his film and television career in 2009, has appeared in episodes of TV series Nurse Jackie, Law & Order: Criminal Intent as well as a regular role on HBO's Girls during the 2012–13 season. Among his films are 2011's Martha Marcy May Marlene, 2012's Hello I Must Be Going, 2014's The Sleepwalker and upcoming The Taliban Shuffle. He was raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, and attended Norwalk Community College. He moved to New York City in 2006. On April 4, 2013 Abbott announced his departure from the HBO series Girls. It was widely speculated that he cited differences with creator Lena Dunham and the overall direction that the show was taking as the reason for leaving. Abbott later clarified his position and stated that it was the fact that he could not relate to the role that pushed him to leave.
