Claire Catherine Danes (born April 12, 1979) is an American actress known for her roles as Angela Chase in My So-Called Life, as Temple Grandin in the HBO television film Temple Grandin, and as Carrie Mathison in the Showtime series Homeland. She has received three Emmy Awards (and 5 nominations), four Golden Globe Awards (and 5 nominations), and two Screen Actors Guild Awards (and 7 nominations).
