George Deukmejian
Courken George Deukmejian, Jr. (/djuːkˈmeɪdʒən/; born June 6, 1928) is an American politician who as a Republican served as the 35th Governor of California (1983–1991) and as California Attorney General (1979–1983). Deukmejian is the first and, so far, the only governor of a US state of Armenian descent.
