James Wan
James Wan Traditional Chinese 溫子仁 Simplified Chinese 温子仁 Transcriptions Mandarin Hanyu Pinyin Wēn Zǐrén Cantonese Yale Romanization Wan Tsz Yan James Wan (born 27 February 1977) is a Malaysian-born Australian film producer, screenwriter and film director of Malaysian Chinese descent. He is widely known for directing the horror film Saw (2004) and creating Billy the puppet. Wan has also directed Dead Silence, Death Sentence (2007), Insidious (2010), Insidious: Chapter 2 and The Conjuring (2013). As of October 2014, Wan is directing Furious 7, which is due for release in 2015.
