Paul Twitchell
Paul Twitchell (born Jacob Paul Twitchell) (October 23, 1909 - September 17, 1971) was an American spiritual lecturer and writer, pulp fiction author and founder of the religion known as Eckankar. He is accepted by the members of that group as the Mahanta, or Living ECK Master of his time. He created and directed the development of Eckankar as a new spiritual teaching from 1963 until his death. His spiritual name is believed by ECKists (students of Eckankar) to be Peddar Zaskq.
