Rita Hayworth
Rita Hayworth (born Margarita Carmen Cansino; October 17, 1918 – May 14, 1987) was an American actress and dancer. She achieved fame during the 1940s as one of the era's top stars, and became known for her deep sultry voice and flaming red hair. Hayworth appeared in a total of 61 films over 37 years, but is perhaps best known for her performance in the 1946 film noir Gilda. She is one of six women who have the distinction of having danced on screen with both Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. She is listed by the American Film Institute as one of the 100 Greatest Stars of All Time. She died at the age of 68 from complications associated with Alzheimer's disease, which she was diagnosed with in 1980.
